It has been my honor to start and run PBLAX for many years. I hope the program has given our children a great chance to learn and play a great game. To all of the players, coaches and parents, thank you for your participation and support of the program in the past. Due to the amount of time needed to run a multi team, multi age program, I regret to inform you that PBLAX will not be fielding recreational teams or holding clinics this spring. My children are getting older and participating on school sponsored teams. It is impossible to run the program at the same level the players deserve.
For the players effected by this decision in the spring, the area offers numerous opportunities to continue with the game including Princeton Lacrosse Club and other local teams and clubs. I would suggest that you investigate the best option for your son and sign up as soon as possible.
You may see the name PBLAX at some tournaments that you be attending in the future. This year, we will be fielding one 6th grade team because we had committed to and paid for spring tournaments. Many of the players on that team will be from the fall and winter box lacrosse team. As with any travel team, there is a maximum number of players but we will consider any PBLax player if space is available.
Again, thank you for your support of the program and allowing us the opportunity to teach your boys the fundamentals of lacrosse and hopefully the love of the game. I’ve enjoyed all of the 14 years that I have dedicated to the development of youth Lacrosse in the Princeton area.
